Our journey into childcare began just like yours, welcoming a child into the world and navigating the process of finding the right care while returning to work and juggling it all. We remember the worry of leaving our little one somewhere we didn’t feel completely comfortable. We wanted to provide for our children while also keeping them safe, happy, and nurtured every moment, a true emotional balancing act! After the birth of our second child, we realised we didn’t want to compromise anymore. So we set out to create a childcare centre filled with love, warmth, and wonder, the kind of place we wished existed for our own children.
Our Philosophy
This isn’t just a business for us. Everything we’ve put in place is informed and inspired by our shared experience with you, the families we’ve set out to support.
At WeKidz, we believe:
- When children feel safe and secure, they truly blossom. At our early learning centre, we focus on building strong, nurturing attachments so every little one feels secure and supported.
- When children do what they love, they thrive. At WeKidz, we take a keen and observation-based approach to early education, so our educators can tailor the educational program to children’s interests. When children are interested, they learn.
- Families must feel secure in their chosen childcare for children to flourish. We know that in order for the child to feel safe with us, their family also needs to feel safe and confident in leaving their children with us.

We nurture a welcoming, social, and supportive environment for our community, hosting events that bring families together and foster meaningful connections and friendships between parents and children. We also treat our educators like family—with kindness, respect, and collaboration—creating a stable, consistent team that children can rely on. Holistic Approach to Learning and Growth
We’re passionate about nurturing every part of your child’s growth. Alongside developing essential skills like language, literacy,numeracy, and motor abilities, we care deeply about their emotional, social, and physical wellbeing. Through loving, attachment-focused care, play-based and child-led learning, time in nature, wholesome meals, and experiences that encourage curiosity and kindness, we create a space where children can truly flourish.

To lean into this, we create a warm, social, supportive environment for our WeKidz community—regularly hosting events to bring families together and build meaningful connections and friendships between parents and children alike.
We also treat our centre staff like family—with kindness and respect—and in doing so, have built a low-turnover team of aligned educators, creating consistency for children.
We Focus on Whole Child Development
Education is essential, but in addition to developing language, literacy, motor & numeracy skills, we support each child’s emotional, social, and physical development too.
We do this through steady attachment-focused caretaking, child-led and play-based learning, global and local citizenship, time within nature at our idyllic centre, and wholesome nutrition.
Our goal? Combining education with enrichment, to help your children not only get ready for big school, but also experience and enjoy life.
Our Wider WeKidz Community
At WeKidz, we’re conscious of our place in a broader community, like the parents who partner with us. Every child at WeKidz is gently guided to be an active part of their local and global community, setting the foundations for an expansive world-view and a connected, empathetic child.
Locally
We take an active and proud role in our Glebe community, taking small groups of children on guided visits and excursions to local nursing homes (helping them build intergenerational connections), and community gardens.
Nationally
We respect the indigenous communities of Australia. Our children enjoy participating in smoking ceremonies and other cultural celebrations held by local leaders and elders, building cultural awareness and appreciation of diversity.
Globally
We’ve established Sister Schools overseas, offering opportunities for your child to be pen pals with foreign students (their age) and host fundraising events annually to support education for young children in less privileged parts of the world.
