Helping Children Find Their Voice – In-House Speech Therapy at WeKidz
At WeKidz, we know that communication is at the heart of every child’s learning, confidence, and connection. That’s why we’re proud to offer in-house speech therapy by a full qualified speech therapist, available for children of all ages—from babies just beginning to babble to preschoolers preparing for school.
Whether it’s understanding language, using words, or expressing emotions clearly, our in-house program supports each child’s individual journey—with care, consistency, and expert guidance.
What is Speech Therapy?
Speech therapy supports children in developing the skills they need to understand and be understood. It covers areas like:
- Speech sounds and clarity
- Language development and vocabulary
- Social communication
- Listening and comprehension
- Emotional regulation and behaviour (often linked to communication needs)
Early challenges with speech can sometimes appear as frustration or behavioural concerns, which is why timely, gentle support makes a world of difference.
Why In-House Speech Therapy Matters
Having a speech therapist on site at WeKidz allows for:
- Speech screeners twice a year – free for all enrolled families
- On-demand screening – if concerns arise, families and educators can access support quickly
- Therapy sessions conducted onsite – no need to travel or disrupt the day
- Shorter wait times and lower costs than the private sector
- our fully qualified speech therapist can support NDIS (self-managed) clients and Medicare-referred sessions, making therapy even more accessible for families .
Most importantly, it means children are supported in a familiar environment, by someone who works closely with their educators and understands their daily routine.
Collaborative Support That Works
Because our qualified speech therapist is part of the WeKidz team, they work hand-in-hand with educators—sharing strategies, tracking progress, and creating consistency across the day. This close collaboration helps ensure every child receives ongoing support, not just during therapy sessions, but throughout their play and learning. We take a holistic approach that encompasses children, educators and families.
Why Early Support Matters
Strong communication lays the foundation for positive relationships, school readiness, and emotional wellbeing. When children feel heard and understood, they’re more confident, more connected, and more ready to learn.
By identifying and supporting communication needs early, we help children thrive—not just now, but long into their future.
